The United Nations Human Rights Chief Volker Volker Türk said that Houthis stormed today the headquarters of their UN office in the capital Sana’a.

They seized documents, furniture, and vehicles, after previously taking over the premises of the building on August 3.

The Houthis’ takeover is part of a larger crackdown on people working with the United Nations, aid agencies, and foreign embassies.

“Ansar Allah forces must leave the premises and return all assets and belongings immediately,” Türk said.

The UN suspended its Human Rights Office’s operations in Sana’a following a previous crackdown campaign in June.
